New York, Sept 10, 2025 — Global leaders from over 100 countries have expressed support for a landmark climate action plan announced at the United Nations General Assembly, aiming for stronger international cooperation to combat rising global temperatures and accelerate the transition to renewable energy.
The initiative, designated as the Global Climate Solidarity Plan, focuses on three primary pillars to address environmental challenges:
Reducing global greenhouse gas emissions by 50% before 2030 across industrial sectors.
Increasing climate finance pledges for developing nations to support clean infrastructure.
Accelerating worldwide technology sharing in battery storage, solar, and green hydrogen.
Delegates praised the unified commitment, noting that this agreement marks the most concrete framework for international ecological policy since the 2015 Paris Accord.
